Global African Media!

Washington, DC – April 26, 2013. In an effort to mark the 52nd anniversary of Sierra Leone’s Independence on April 27, Kwame “Cumalé” Fitzjohn, host of Global African Media’s “Conversations with Kwame Cumalé”, sat down with President Koroma in Washington, DC on March 27th for an exclusive one-on-one that covered a wide range of topics on Sierra Leone and the Diaspora: The Economy, Good Governance, Civil Society, Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora, Absentee Ballots, and his Legacy. The interview was conducted in collaboration with videographer David Chaytor.

Global African Media is grateful to its proud sponsors for making this presentation possible:
Medissage, Centers for Health, Growth and Transformation; The House of VANyAH, Stunning Contemporary Fine Art and Crafts from Africa; KoTo, Gourmet Hot Pepper Sauces native to West Africa; and Arik Air, West Africa’s Largest Commercial Airline.

The Global African Media experience is a story that is being told about Africa and its Diaspora by its daughters and sons from a visionary perspective and, most importantly, with the development and potential of Africa as its main focus. Our signature program, Conversations with Kwame Cumalé, is another way that people of African descent are projecting their culture and telling their narrative in this digital era. Shows such as this are important examples of our Global African collective consciousness and for inspiring tomorrow’s leaders.
