Ambassador Bockarie Stevens sympathizes with President Ernest Koroma
8th July, 2012
The Embassy of Sierra Leone in Washington DC has learnt with great regret and sorrow of the passing away in Makeni of your beloved mother, Madame Alice Koroma.
The entire staff and the many Sierra Leoneans who have been calling the Embassy, join me in conveying heartfelt condolences to you, and through you, the entire Koroma family.
Madame Koroma was a devoted mother whose selflessness was surpassed only by her celebrated generosity and kindness. Her virtuous character and fortitude were exemplary, and as a well-respected matriarch and mother to all, her passing would be deeply felt and mourned by an entire nation.
I pray that you will find the strength to cope with this period of grief and that the Almighty God will console you and the Koroma family as you come to terms with this tragic loss.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
